The three commissioners bypassed the proper process in place, were short-sided on the issue of funding, not open to discussion, and lost focus of their fiduciary responsibility to the taxpayers of Coral Gables Residents. Before giving themselves a raise with benefits, they should have shown they earned it instead of using their 3-2 power play.
