I remember campaign promises made and not kept. The clear KFC decisions arrived at on the dais OBVIOUSLY didn't violate Sunshine Laws... it's amazing how in step the three stooges are. This is laughable were it another city...

Pathetic. I am disgusted and saddened at the corruption, mockery and disrespect on display at these meetings. I always thought it would be a cold day in hell before I would read articles like this one about our City. Well it’s snowing in hell right about now. We have officially hit a brand new low.
Ariel is pandering votes. This is how democracies fall apart. Decisions are made based on how many votes will be gain in the next election. We, the tax paying residents, are an afterthought. Only potential new votes count. It happens in Washington DC, and now it is happening in Coral Gables.
PS: Ariel has also the upside of free tickets to the Actor's Playhouse !
The next election cycle is not too far away. Ideally find a candidate or two with credibility and no dog in the fight other than a return to sanity. Perhaps someone who doesn't want to do it, but is willing to do one term as a public service.
