I’m not sure we need an IG (at this point) because I don’t know it has been communicated WHAT an IG will do. I think Rhonda’s point about the 75 word limit is an excellent argument that it should be addressed by Commission; why bother with Charter Review?
In conclusion, I think we have 3 corrupt commissioners, that do not want transparency in the City.
They do not care about the City or the residents. Ariel Fernandez, Melissa Castro and Kirk Menendez claim of corruption without proof and they OPPOSE an Inspector General to get to the bottom of this. ( They are definitely scared of something, they have done, no good)
We the City of Coral Gables NEED an INSPECTOR GENERAL...we need transparency...enough is enough from the 3 Opposition.
They are not scared of an Inspector General. They are considerate commissioners saving CG residents the cost of expenses on an Inspector General Investigation not wanting to burden us with any more expenses after they voted to double their salaries. They are simply waiting to identify a lacky IG that will do their bidding. As for corruption, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it..., and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
