Hi Nicolas. Thanks for the opportunity to finally get to "meet" Mr. Hersh through your podcast. I loved his last comments about architecture and historic preservation: "...the most anti-historic thing you can do is make new things look old because when you are trying to preserve something in historic preservation ... you don't mistake new fabric for old fabric ... history is embellished in the facade of the street." I love this! As a matter of fact, Mr. Hersh made a similar comment on one of my articles about the historical importance of embracing different styles and eras of architecture in Coral Gables.
