I was very disappointed in how KFC handled the City Manager ombroglio. It was ugly, petty and beyond unprofessional.
It was also disconcerting to realize there was an already handpicked candidate for CM. I always thought CG, being an international city, would do a national search rather than pick a buddy, who to all intents and purposes is NOT available, according to the County Mayor.

Unfortunately, KFC will take your comment and throw it in a trash bin with the rest of the emails, texts, and public comments that are in opposition to them and their twisted motives. Yes, there is big rhetoric. But what really drives Kirk, Ariel, and Melissa is just money. Since they failed in the private sector to be valuable and being compensated for the value created; instead the got elected ( two of them in a questionable turnaround election ) to make money from the Coral Gables citizens. Anybody trying to stop them, they either get fired or they get trashed in social media. They approved for themselves massive salary increases ( when, we, citizens, are happy to get a 4% increase, on our side). They use their positions to get favors ( e.g.: free meals at local restaurants ). And who knows what they may be getting behind the scenes from the real estate developers. Ariel, Kirk and Melissa are turning Coral Gables into a 'banana republic'.
What’s all this talk about bright lights? Sounds like our new CM is the coming of the messiah? Gimme a break folks. It’s local government. We are not finding the cure to cancer. The reality is, you are ignoring the fact that Captain Kirk (oh how I love the reference) has done some things that would not be well received by voters. Let's put it this way...
