Thank you for the beautiful words about George! I can call myself blessed to have become very good friends with George over the last 30 years here in Coral Gables. He was like my Father, my brother and my best friend. He loved the City of Coral Gables specially the small family businesses' and would do anything to protect the integrity of the city!

Thank you for the fine tribute to an amazing man. My Dad thought very highly of him as did I. George was the epitome of a gentleman. He shall be missed.

I wish his family my condolences and may his soul find rest. But, he made my family's life a living inferno with the lies he told about me, my husband, and anyone related to me. Real journalists seek the truth and report facts. That was not my experience with him.

I knew George in the late 80s and early 90s when he was a fixture at Coral Gables City Hall where I was an employee at the City Clerk's office, and he was an independent journalist covering municipal affairs and politics. I had many conversations with him as he attempted to extract information from me, although I always held the line in divulging much of anything, but we always ended our talks with a smile and a handshake. I admired his keen intellect and old-school gentleman approach. And I especially appreciated his knowledge of languages and his great ability to tell a story, even if it was over a cup of coffee. He was of the caliber of others I got to know well, among them Roxcy Bolton, Alexander Tar, George Kakouris, George Corrigan, Leona Cooper, Fred Harnett, and I could go on and on. They were all quality people, most of whom have passed on. May he rest in peace.
