Does this city need more of this ineptitude to one day realize how damaging it is? Public servants serve the residents, not themselves. SO SAD to see a majority of 3 force our city’s decisions to be mediocre at best. Or are the people they bring in also on the “take?” I think this story needs to be blasted whether residents want to hear it or not. Look at L.A.! Had their local officials had guts to stand up for fire safety and not themselves, maybe the fires would have not happened or at least been put out quicker. Fire hydrants had no water. Fire trucks needed repair. That sounds like a city where the local commission is more about themselves and keeping their circle safe than worrying about residents. Sounds very familiar. Repulsive! 🤢

My Vulcan intuition has me wondering... Is Ariel wearing pants on that Zoom video or just a jacket, shirt and tie? Better yet, what color is his underwear?

I am preparing to board my starship back for a return journey to the Vulcan home world in search of safety from the evil grasps of KFC. Upon my return I shall bring with me the forces of good that will empower my constituents among the Coral Gables populace to finally emerge victorious on the eve of April 8th. GOOD SHALL PREVAIL AND THE THREAT OF KFC SHALL BE EXPELLED!

Aesop, two observations to follow. First, Ariel did not have the flu. Clearly, he called in sick so he could use his teleprompter at home. What a tremendous competitive advantage over the opposition on the dais! Knowing full well that the video record would be seen by many, Ariel took the opportunity to lay down footage that, in his mind, would make his argument to hire Parjus bulletproof while casting himself as the Gables' own modern day Churchill, an orator's orator. It says a lot about someone to do such a thing, not to mention to have a teleprompter at home.

Secondly, it is clear that KFC bought Parjus as much as Parjus bought KFC. Parjus was chomping at the bit during the discussion hoping that it would not get blown up. Depending on what compensation is negotiated by the obsequious Kirk Menendez, Parjus potentially secured a future $100K+payday on Tuesday. Should Parjus be fired by the incoming commission, he will undoubtedly receive a severance package of 20 weeks' pay. I doubt Parjus would sign any contract that did not include a severance upon termination clause. Well played, Mr. Parjus. This is another tab to be picked up by the taxpayer courtesy of KFC.

Lastly, I think you're right, Ariel ran a game on the unwitting Amos. Whether it ends up costing the former manager any compensation remains to be seen. This could end up in KFC having to cast a vote to make the former manager "whole." Wouldn't that be interesting?
