If only there were facts included in your long winded, never ending reporting essays. Obtain facts, they matter.

Everything you publish is a hit piece on someone who at one time or another has had a difference of opinion with the current mayor or his agenda.

If you really knew the group, knew the community/neighborhood, and knew the reason for the group’s resistance to this particular dog park, you wouldn’t be writing the mis-truths you have written here.

I have no dog in the fight (forgive me,) but why post a response that itself is entirely fact-free? To your credit, it can't be called long-winded, but it hardly serves to disprove anything in the article it references.

You’re deflecting. Facts aren’t subjective. Just because you don’t like what you’re reading here doesn’t diminish the quality, substance, and legitimate analysis provided by Aesop. Are you part of the UGNA?

That’s probably why you’d prefer reading the slop from Political Cortadito or AI Gazette.

Mr. Cabrera - your choice of friends shows people who you are and how you make choices - https://cabrera.substack.com/p/politics-in-paradise-special-edition with Dariel Gonzalez as your first interview. The recent AESOP's GABLES columns are an attempted deflection of serious issues of ignorance, racism and hate against women, Jews and blacks. Your questions should be directed at yourself - not other people.

Tom,

Your ongoing engagement with me continues to be inappropriate and riddled with malicious intent. I question your motive and fail to understand how your actions, comments, remarks, and behavior towards me are reflective of your campaign promise of "Neighbors Restoring Civility". I will not elaborate further. Please disengage.

With that, here is my statement regarding Dariel Gonzalez, released on Friday, March 6th. I have also taken further measures to remove Abel Carvajal from the Coral Gables Community Discussion chat due to his involvement with the FIU group chat.

"As many of you are aware, one of the individuals associated with the FIU group chat that made derogatory, racist, and anti-Semitic comments has been a guest on my podcast and was a member of a community discussion chat I administrate on WhatsApp related to Coral Gables. I’d like to make it explicitly clear: racism, bigotry, and anti-semitism have no place in my life in any form or fashion.

At the time of the podcast, I was wholly unaware of this individuals beliefs and I was unaware of his association and involvement with the FIU group chat, the conversations had there, the existence of said group chat, and the comments he made. I have since removed him from the Coral Gables WhatsApp chat. I condemn his actions, comments, and associations with individuals who share those beliefs and am immensely disappointed that this type of behavior still exists in our society. There is no place for this in our community."

How come all of your posts are so one sided? Seems like you are a shill for Lago.

I am 100% pro-parks. I am 100% pro-tall-buildings in the Gables. I am 100% against dog parks. They smell and are noisy. But mainly they smell like s**t all the time. I don't even live nearby that proposed dog park and I'm 100% against it.

"The city beautiful"....

Don't get in their way.

How is Mr. Capote ?

Nicolas Cabrera's avatar

How much money was he offered for his property? Remind us...

Hopefully you will be able to experience every second of what Mr. Capote and his family has been subjected to—so you may possibly have a clearer understanding of what they value above the, your, almighty dollar.

Funny how it's always about the money, especially when it's not your home, etc.

Adding to the ultimate outcomes mentioned at the end of the blog: "and Rhonda will succeed Lago as Mayor of Coral Gables !"
